A quote by Sir Isaac Newton

“ We are therefore to acknowledge one God: infinite, eternal, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, the creator of all things, most wise, most just, most good, most holy: and to have no other Gods but Him. We must love Him, fear Him, honor Him, trust in Him, pray to Him, give Him thanks, praise Him, hallow His name, obey His commandments, and set times apart for Him service as we are directed in the third and fourth commandments. ‘For this is the love of God that we keep his commandments and his commandments
are not grievous.’ 1 John 5:3"

  2. What a wonderful quote, Kati. "His commandments are not grievous." It takes a lot of us a long time to acknowledge the truth of that. Hugs to you ...

  3. I was inspired by the biography of Newton we just read. He was an amazing man! Inquisitive, intelligent (that's putting it mildly!), inventive, ingenious. However, in whatever he did, God's Word was his "plumb line" and he based all of his information and his interpretation of it on the immutable Word of God.

Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body. ~Proverbs 16:24
